Unfortunately a number of dealers mis-lead customers regarding the year of manufacture of their Yamaha pianos. This is easy to do - the pianos do look as new! If however you wish to know the true age of your prospective piano - please download our spreadsheet (scroll to the bottom of the page) detailing the year of manufacture and serials numbers used (be very careful to accurately read the number of digits - a 6 versus 7 digit serial number can be easily mixed up). Ask to see the serial number - if it is destroyed, unavailable or tampered with - we strongly recommend you do not purchase that piano.
